Blake’s Tinman Triathlon & Celebration Fundraiser

Join us for the annual Blake's Tinman Mental Wellnes Triathlon Fundraiser, a day dedicated to raising awareness and support for mental health initiatives. The event features a Bike, Kayak, and Run Triathlon, inspiring stories, live entertainment, raffles, food trucks, a corn-hole tournament, and opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, all while supporting holistic and traditional mental health treatments for those in need. Your participation helps fund scholarships, therapy sponsorships, and life-changing mental health services.

Together, we can make a lasting impact in our community.

Kick off the race with a 6.6-mile bike ride through Reedsburg, starting from the event grounds and heading toward the north shore of the Baraboo River. Please note: the final mile of the route is on a gravel trail — plan accordingly if using skinny tires.

Next, transition to the water. Using your canoe, kayak, or kanac, paddle 1 mile down the peaceful Baraboo River. Enjoy the calming scenery as you prepare for the final stretch.

    • 1.7-Mile Run/Walk

  • The Tinman Triathlon has a rich history rooted in the very same grounds where Blake's Tinman Foundation now hosts its annual event. Originally founded by Kurt and Jean Johansen in the late 1980s, the triathlon became a beloved community tradition. With a route similar to today's course, the event brought together athletes and supporters, inspiring physical endurance and mental resilience.

One of the most remarkable stories is that of Tim McMillan, a dedicated participant who competed in every original Tinman event and continues his journey by participating in the revived 2022 event—spanning decades of commitment to this race.

The decision to restart the Tinman Triathlon as a key event for Blake’s Tinman Foundation felt like a natural step. The spirit of perseverance and community support embodied by the original event aligned perfectly with the foundation’s mission to improve mental health and well-being. The triathlon symbolizes strength, determination, and the journey toward personal and collective well-being—values central to the foundation’s purpose.

Blake’s Tinman Foundation honors this legacy, creating a powerful connection between past and present, while paving the way for a future where mental health and wellness take center stage.
