About Blake’s Tinman Foundation
Blake Matthew Fenwick was born on October 26, 1999, with a heart as big as his smile. His warmth, generosity, and positive energy lit up every room and touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Tragically, in 2020, Blake lost his battle with hidden depression. The pain of his loss runs deep, but the love and impact he left behind will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
In 2022, to honor Blake’s memory, the Fenwick family awarded a $6,000 scholarship to a Reedsburg High School senior pursuing studies in mental health—this scholarship was funded by the inheritance Blake left behind. But his family felt called to do more, to ensure that Blake’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and support for others would live on. That’s how Blake’s Tinman was born.
Inspired by an old triathlon once hosted in Reedsburg, where some of Blake’s family now lives, we revived the Tinman event. But this time, it carries a powerful purpose: to raise awareness for mental health and create lasting change in our community. Blake’s Tinman Foundation exists to continue the work Blake would have wanted—to help people find happiness, to bring light into the darkness, and to support mental health in a real and impactful way.
Since launching this mission, we have raised over $200,000, awarded 30 scholarships, and in 2024, launched a portal connecting those in need with mental wellness providers. Our foundation now sponsors a variety of mental wellness treatments, bringing holistic and traditional care to those struggling. What started in Crandon and Reedsburg is now spreading everywhere as we implement this model into all participating communities.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support. Together, we are turning Blake’s greatest gift—his ability to bring joy to others—into a lasting legacy of hope and healing.
